State-of-the-art conference center overlooking Lake Lucerne
500 meters above Lake Lucerne, the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne offers spacious meeting facilities designed for up to 600 people to provide an outstanding setting for successful events and a demanding clientele. The ultra-modern conference center offers a total of 2,200 sqm of meeting and event space and is equipped with the latest technologies. Split into 31 business premises and boasting two grand Ballrooms, the conference center can cater from small private celebrations to large-scale international events.
In addition to the regular indoor business premises, the resort offers two large tennis halls of 850 sqm each, the Diamond Domes. Both halls can double as event and conferencing venues for around 600 attendees each. What is more, the resort features a variety of unique indoor and outdoor areas that can be used as event space such as the Bürgenstock Cinema with 69 seats, the chalet-style Spycher Club and the Simmentaler Stube built in the 16th Century.

Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa
Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa is a legend of landscape design. The hotel presents two distinct styles. The 102-room The Contemporary encased in glass immerses guests in the skyscape from bed to bath. The Heritage wing has 109 rooms behind a Belle Époque façade. This is the original ‘Palace Hotel’ and the corridors hum with the history of glamorous guests since 1873, Charlie Chaplin, the cast of Goldfinger and the exquisite Audrey Hepburn.
Waldhotel Health & Wellbeing
The 137-room Waldhotel Health & Wellbeing is a model of sustainable architecture, built with local larchwood. The design embraces the healing power of nature from south facing sun terraces for every room and Swiss pastoral views to a pool deck revitalised by mountain air.

Cuisine from around the world includes Pan-Asian, Middle Eastern, French, flame grilled specialities, traditional Swiss, Italian and pioneering Vitality cuisine.
Spices Kitchen & Terrace is within a glass cube cantilevered from the side of the mountain. Parisa – Persian Cuisine is on the edge of the cliff with views falling away 500 meters below. Brasserie Ritzcoffier is a classic French kitchen with a sunlit terrace overlooking the lake. Osteria Alpina sits prettily above the rolling golf fairways. Oak Grill & Pool Patio is set by the Hollywood Pool, a glamorous scene in Goldfinger.
Crowned heads and guests from politics, business and entertainment
The resort looks back on a glorious legacy: the Grand Hotel opened for business in 1873. The Bürgenstock Funicular, Europe’s first electric funicular, was inaugurated in 1888. 1905 saw the opening of the Cliff Walk, a path among the face of the mountain. The Hammetschwand Lift, the highest outdoor elevator in Europe, commenced operations that same year, too.
During the 1950s and 60s, the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne became a favourite haunt of famous personalities from society, business, politics and sport. These included stars and other notables such as Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer (who held their wedding at the resort in 1954), Charlie Chaplin, Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti, Sean Connery, Pandit Nehru, first prime minister of India, and his daughter Indira Gandhi and many more.
